OpenSpot Configuration for TGIF

(1/1)

KD5TJG:
OpenSpot and Openspot2 are really easy to configure to the TGIF Network.

1. Open your OpenSpot Dashboard.
2. Goto the Connectors Tab at the top.

Scroll down to: DMR/Homebrew/MMDVM

1. Change the Protocol to MMDVM instead of Homebrew (if it was checked)
2. Add the server address: 'tgif.network'
3. Add the Port: 62031
Click the Save button and your OpenSpot should connect to the TGIF Network.

To make this easier, simply match what you see in the screenshot below with your OpenSpot.
Just be sure to change the DMR ID.

Robert K4WZV:
THERE IS NO NEED TO DO THIS NOW. THE TGIF SERVER IS IN THE DMR MASTER DROP DOWN LIST.

Connected today, with a openspot 3, no problem, just wish I could lean how to save it in a new profile, on my openspot so I can maintain it for use when I visit other country's. Still learning how all this works on DMR. Anytone 878plus here, wrote my own code plug, for a few stations, or channels, or zones, or list,

KI7AY:
I have an openspot2. I cannot get it to connect to TGIF. Anyone willing to help an old guy out?

KI7AY:
Hi guys. Looks like the problem was that I had a password in the CONNECTORS menu for the TGIF servers that was not the default (was for BM). I changed it back to default, and my OS2 connected. Now I need to set up some talk groups for the TGIF network on my Anytone 578UVIII.

Never fails, does it? Ask a question and figure out the answer before you get a reply. Sigh.  :P
