Hello everyone,

To update the TGIF_groups.txt ... from the SSH page in pi-star ... To show TGIF Talk Group Names ...

pi-star
raspberry
rpi-rw
cd \tmp
sudo su
wget http://ag4oj.com/NDC/Databases/TGIF_groups.txt
rm -f /usr/local/etc/TGIF_groups.txt
mv TGIF_groups.txt /usr/local/etc/TGIF_groups.txt
exit
exit
--- Click on the MMDVMHost page under the expert tab in pi-star and change the "groups.txt" under the NextionDriver section to "TGIF_groups.txt". Click "Apply Changes". Reboot the hotspot to now see the TalkGroup proper names for the TGIF network. New Talk Groups are added to this file as We are made aware of them.

To update the stripped.csv...  from the SSH page in pi-star ...

pi-star
raspberry
rpi-rw
cd \tmp
sudo su
wget http://ag4oj.com/NDC/Databases/stripped.csv
rm -f /usr/local/etc/stripped.csv
mv stripped.csv /usr/local/etc/stripped.csv
exit
exit

--- Reboot the hotspot to get the latest stripped.csv file loaded. We try our best to update Our stripped.csv file almost daily. Doing this once every week or so will keep it current.

To update the BM groups.txt from the \tmp directory;

pi-star
raspberry
rpi-rw
cd \tmp
sudo su
wget --no-check-certificate "https://api.brandmeister.network/v1.0/groups/" -O groups.txt
rm -f /usr/local/etc/groups.txt
mv groups.txt /usr/local/etc/groups.txt
exit
exit

--- OK, I get it. This is a TGIF forum. YET, for those who still use BM, this will update their TalkGroup names. IF you are using the "DMR+" network, there is also a "DMR+_groups.txt file located at the same place the "TGIF_groups.txt" is located, just change the download file name.

Hope this helps everyone trying to get the most out of their HotSpot (Single/Simplex Hat) / Repeaters (Dual/Duplex Hats),

Enjoy!

What if you can't find a 'NextionDriver' section or 'group.txt' file listed anywhere on the page?
I am currently looking at Expert Editors >> Quick Edit: >> MMDVMHost
Am I in the wrong place?

--- Then it appears that the Nextion Driver is not installed or installed properly. That updating these files will be meaningless as they are only used by the Nextion Driver.

[after doing some research]  Ah, Nextion is a display type.  Duh  ::), I should have know a driver is usually associated with a hardware component. And seeing that I have an 'OLED Type 6' display, it would make sense that I don't have a Nextion driver.

Sorry for bothering you. Hopefully this post can help inform of any other newbies like me.
