Title: Two Questions
Post by: nj3h on January 22, 2019, 01:54:07 am
Greetings,

Question 1:  I was listening to black sheep TG at about 10 pm pst. For sone reason I got the perception that I wasn't hearing all of the qso. The were large gaps (minutes) between transmissions. So,  was my system just not reciving them?

Also I went into promiscuous mode and heard Ty, Doug,  and a station in NJ (? 2FEM). Anyway, I don't have this tg in my codeplug yet. I keyed up and now I  hear nothing even though I am still in promiscuous mode.

Bottom line: I am puzzled why I  seen not to be hearing the qsos in both examples.

Question 2:  Does TGIF allow for static TGs?

Thanks!

Large gaps could mean you are missing something, but I know when its late, i'm tired, or busy otherwise and chatting... I have been known to leave huge gaps

we were on 31489 DMR Track
you say you did not have it and keyed???  must have left 777 and to the TG where you keyed

not yet, but I figure its a matter of time, and coding.
as the number of Talk Groups grow, and some become really busy 777 will become a nightmare to use and will have to become a selective scan like "static TGs"
