Hi Team, i read in the list of your Talk Groups that you used TG999 for Italy, i would like to ask you if it is possible to change it to TG222 the Group is used as National Talk Group in Italy, it would be a nice thing to be able to use the same. Thanks and 73's

Hi Mario. I'm not an admin on the network, but I'd offer two points of information.
First, I assume by "the Group is used as a National Talk Group in Italy" you mean that it is used on Brandmeister for that purpose. We are TGIF, not Brandmeister. Our talkgroup layout does not necessarily match theirs (or have to, for that matter).
But, more importantly, TG222 on our network is already in use by the CERT-SPAIN group. So, changing it at this point might be...problematic?
But, as I said, I'm not an admin. Perhaps one of them should weigh in.

Thanks Joe for your answers, i had seen that Group 222 is also used in Spain "so another problem". We are not Brandmeister but IT-DMR we are the largest Italian Network with over 120 Repeaters covering all of Italy we are only an Italian Network. Since we started in Nov.2013 we have always used the TG222 because it is the MCC numbering reserved by the ITU for Italy, Brandmeister was not born. We recently made an agreement with two Italian groups to share the national TG222 for the particular moment (COVID-19). We also hear our traffic on the TGIF Network on the TG999, which makes us happy but for uniformity and simplicity of the users i made this request. We do not use many Talk Groups in our Network (national and regionals only) and we would not like to create others. 73's

Mario, I can understand your frustration. We cannot control any bridging done by the individual talk groups. The admins of the talk groups are responsible for any bridging from their talk group. I would suggest if you think a change to your situation would be in the best interest of of both talk groups that you contact the Admin of the Cert Spain talk group. The Admin is EA1HNC and his email is on their wiki page. I hope you can work this out as this is out of our hands. We give the talk group Admins complete control of their talk groups.

Thanks Robert i thought for the management of the groups there was a more centralized coordination, i will move as you recommended and thanks for the info.
