Title: Not connecting into phone, at times
Post by: JeffFischer on December 20, 2018, 02:11:11 pm
I am having some issues when I try to go mobile. I have an Openspot2, and a Zumspot, that have the same results.

I can turn the house wifi off, and connect to the phone fine on the wif, using the phone as a Hotspot. This is fine around the house, or can take it out into the van and it works there. I have to mention that I have BM in all of the Openspots, or Zumspots.

When I go to another location a mile or more away, and it cannot log into my spots using TGIF, but works fine logging into BM, so would not say, or can't say that the Hotspot, or Wifi is not working.

I can go to http://tgif.network and bring the last heard and all up, so the Internet part is working fine.

Anyone else seen or had a problem like this, and if so, what did you do to solve it.

Jeff, Are you still having this issue ? If you are maybe get with Ty KG5RKI when you hear him on and see if he can take a look at this at a different level that is above my paygrade. He can look deep in the server and see what is going on when you try to log in. It is just very strange that it would work on your mobile device at your house and not when you leave. I can say I have never seen this type of issue before.

Yes Robert, I did get it fixed, had to add some extra numbers at the end of each Spot I have, as the main one I have running in the house had the same ID number in it, and BM doesn't care, but does not like it on here, so each spot just needed some extra numbers, and I am back up and going Mobile now.

That is great news Jeff, I am glad you got it figured out. It is very important if your running multiple hot spots on the same network. That is the only way the server know's how to route traffic. It should be the same on Brandmeister.
