Turning on CW with MD380 and Toolz

To turn on CW
Note each step has about a 8 second timer for a response, then reverts to main screen
· Turn on radio (rotate right dial)
· Place on a quiet channel so it won’t interrupt the process (left dial)
· Press menu (green button, top left button)
· Press the up button once to be at the bottom of the list on the “utilities” setting, press green
button to enter
· Press the up button once to be at the bottom of the list on the “6-MD380Toolz” setting, press
green button to enter
· Press the up button 4 times to be at the “14 Morse output” setting, press green button to enter
o In this menu the options are:
o 1 mode
o 2 speed WPM
o 3 CW pitch [hz]
o 4 CW Volume
· press green button to enter mode
o In this menu the options are:
o Off
o Short
o Verbose
o Test/DevOnly
· Press Down button once to be at “short” and press green button “ok”
· You should be hearing the code now
· Next adjust the speed WPM to your choices are:
o 15
o 18
o 22
o 30
o 35
o 40
· Next adjust the speed CW Pitch [hz] to your choices are:
o 400
o 650
o 800
