New GW not duplex hotspot friendly
« on: December 20, 2018, 07:56:23 pm »
I installed access to the new DMR GW on my duplex hotspot.  I had trouble with Step C

c) wget http://dmr.pgtto.com/files/*.sh

the wildcard * is not permitted.  I had to wget the files by name individually.  Everything else worked fine.

I was hoping to do what I had done with the old GW on my duplex hotspot.  I had TGIF on TS1 and Brandmeister on TS2.  Apparently the new system keeps the hotspot on one network only.

Next I tried to use the new system with a TGRewrite rule to have TG9 on TS1 and another TG on TS2.  Apparently the system considers the hotspot as a single destination.  I can key each TG on each TS and they work as espected but when you key one it deactivates the other.

Is it possible to use a duplex hotspot on the new GW on different talk groups on each time slot simultaneously?

Everything seems to work fine on the duplex hotspot but everything is restricted to time slot 2.

Thanks for all your work!

Sorry... I set the wget in my instruction set to use a wild card not realizing it would not work.
the correct command is
wget http://dmr.pgtto.com/files/install.sh

As for duplex hotspot. I am afraid that as written it will not work. The concept is that only one network is active at any given time to stop the crossover between networks.

We will have to re think the concept for the duplex hotspots

No problem.  I am just glad to know my observations were correct and that I was not doing something dumb like I sometimes do.

Thanks for all this work.  I am sure things will evolve nicely.
