Anytone 578 and TGIF Spot
« on: April 02, 2021, 10:58:47 am »
I just purchased a TGIF Spot and have it working pretty well with my 578. I previous was running my 578 on an OpenSpot2 and worked great as well. I have just one difference and that is with the Scan (TG 777) talk group.

In setting up my 578 I learned that I had to have Digi Monitor on to get be able to hear the talk group scan. It worked fine with my OpenSpot 2

I purchased the TGIF Spot the Scan 777 talk group does not key up nor do I hear anything. I know it does not key up because when I go in to the Prime website, open Selfcare and key up it does not change to the 777 talk group. If I manually type it in, then the radio response and I can hear it.

Again, I have not changed my code plug at all from when I had it working with my OpenSpot 2.

So, ideas? What settings may I need to change either in my codeplug or on the TGIF Spot?

Thanks for your help,
Harry

Hi there KI7BFE,

I imagine the setting would be in your radio.  Check your codeplug again.  Make sure 777 is a group call and that you have it in it's own receive group and added to the TGIF Zone if you have one..
For what it's worth..  my RT3S handheld keys in fine to 777 but I still have to enable monitoring, I guess it's because it's actually scanning and isn't fixed on one particular TG.

Good luck,
MI7DJT

Thanks!

I did not have it set up in its own Receive Group Call List and that was what made the difference.

Again thanks for the heads up!!
