Request for new talkgroup 31264 The BROniverse

Hello TGIF team,

I would like to request TG 3126848 named "The BROniverse".  That is a nickname for the XLX625 reflector I would like to link this TG to.  The details about this reflector and the associated WA8BRO repeater are here:  www.wa8bro.com

With this request, can I also get the addition of the XLX interlink done on the TGIF side?  I will be using the XLXD interlink mechanism, assuming that is supported on the TGIF side.  I would like to link to XLX625A (4001) on our side.

Doug, Talk group #'s at this time can only have 6 digits. You can bridge anything you want to your talk group. As far as the XLX interlink We would have to get with our server programmer Ty Weaver and see if that is possible. At this time I am pretty sure that protocol is not supported at this time.

Ok thanks for the info.  How about 31264 with the same name.

I just met and talked to Ty over the discord voice thing the other day, and mentioned to him the xlxd linking briefly.  He was also clear that you guys are very friendly about linking to xlx based reflectors, and I may have mistaken that as meaning that you supported the xlxd interlinking specifically.  If you guys dont currently support the built-in interlink service of the xlxd, then can you tell me other popular methods used by folks around here to link xlxd based reflectors to TGIF? 

I wrote my own software (I call it DMRcon for DMR connector) that connects our XLXD to a brandmeister TG simply by acting like 2 clients passing traffic from one connection to the other, and is running right how at BM 3126848 as an unassigned TG.  It works well, but I was hoping to use the built in xlxd interlink feature, or something a little better that you may recommend, instead of my hack.

Doug, Your best bet would be get with Ty on these matters as it is above my pay grade lol. He does all the server work and would know about the best ways to come up with a good solution for what you are trying to accomplish.The best way to nail him down is on telegram or discord. Or even better call him on 31665. We are soon going to turn all the talk groups over to the Admins of each talk group and they will have Admin privileges for their talk group. You might give him a couple days as now he is very very busy working on the server for the network. I will mention this to him next time we chat witch should be tonight sometime. In the meantime let me know if you want your talk group with 6 digits. I can take care of that for you.

OK thanks, I will get with Ty about the XLX interlink stuff.  Yeah, I would like TG 31264 if it is available, still using the name "The BROniverse".

Doug, I forgot if the 7 digit talk group is your own dmr id we can do that.
just let me know I added your talk group to the network.

The 7 digit TG ID I originally asked for is registered to the co-creator of the WA8BRO network (aka BROniverse) so I guess it qualifies, but I think I'd like a fresh number to work with anyway, so lets stick with the 6 digit 31264 if possible.
