What does the setting 'Hide from Scan' on the Talkgroup control panel do?

When a user activates talkgroup 777 (the scanning function), the network finds the first talkgroup with activity, stops there, and sends it to the user.  When that talkgroup activity ceases, the network finds the next active takgroup and repeats the process.

Think "radio scanner" with programmed channels.  Same end result.

"Hide From Scan" in the talkgroup control panel excludes the talkgroup from being included in the 777 scanning function.  Going back to the "radio scanner" analogy, it's like "locking out" a particular channel so the scanner "skips" it while scanning.

Hope that explains it for you.

Best Regards,
