TGIF setup on MMDVM hotspot
« on: October 03, 2020, 02:50:30 pm »
What is the numerical prefix needed to establish contact on the TGIF Nework?  Is is it 40 plus the talkgroup or 50?

I was under the impression it was 40 but my MD380 configured to use 4031665 does not receive any audio, but I do see some lastheard activity on the 380 screen.

Thanks,
Dick, W4RSS

No "numerical prefix" to the talkgroup number is required to access TGIF UNLESS you are using the Pi-Star Gateway function to access multiple networks (IE DMR Gateway selected under DMR Master in Pi-Star).

If you're selecting/just using TGIF_Network as your DMR Master in Pi-Star, you just use the "straight" talkgroup number as listed.

Examples: 31665 for the "Main" TGIF Talkgroup, 101 for TAC-101, 215 for Philadelphia, and so on.

Thanks, Joe.  I appreciate the answer.  I'll change my codeplug accordingly.
