MD-380 Database Issue
« on: January 19, 2019, 10:23:09 pm »
Greetings,

I am using an MD-380 with Toolz installed from the KG5RKI site.

Many times I have used the flash program to update the user database, without any issues.

Today, I have tried numerous times.  The screen says at the end that things were completed.  There are no error messages.

No IDs, names, locations are showing when someone keys up.  All I see is the standard No ID message that one gets if an ID number is not in the database.

I am at a loss as a fix for this problem.  Any suggestions?

It is taking about 10 minutes to do the update which seems excessively long.

TA and Used DB were selected.

Changed to just User DB.

Unfortunately this made no difference.  No db info is showing up.

Looks fine  but have not sent to radio yet
Same number on your end?

Yes,
A friend of mine had no problem with it.

Now the radio lost the building and people icons on the main screen and reboots every 5 seconds. I was feeling so good today getting things working. Lol lol

No icons?
Ty removed them a while ago for space to display mode, cc, ts info

Sounds like you updated firmware and it did not go well, perhaps since it was not in dfu mode

Try re flashing tools be properly
If that don't work

Flash a version of tyt be
Then toolz again

Rebooting can be caused by user db not loaded well

Here is the latest. Last night I had things so hosed up that the radio kept rebooting every 5 seconds. A friend of mine flashed the radio back to no toolz. Then he flashed toolz back on. The toolz has been updated to show more data and gets rid of the two stupid large icons. The userdb still won't show info on the screen. Others having trouble per the DMRtrack Facebook page.

Thanks for the help yrsterday.

Ty, emailed me back around 11 last night. He fixed it real quick. I really appreciate everyone is so helpful and timely.

Did have another issue lastvnight. With toolz installed, screen would blank in 5 sec. Friend walked me thru reflashing stock firmwate. Then backlight stayed on. Set it to 15 sec instead of always. Flashed toolz and it worked. Then reset to always in stock firmware.
